Using Internet Explorer for FTP
A simple guide to FTP.

Short Tutorial on FTP using Internet Explorer
This is just a brief explination on how to use FTP through the standard Internet Explorer that comes with windows. I generally use Firefox for all my browsing, but for some reason it doesn't allow you to modify any files through FTP, just view them. I do all my FTP through Internet Explorer and I figured this might help some people who are having trouble trying to find alternative FTP clients.

How to do it:
Open the browser window and in the area that says 'Adress' type 'yourcomicname@butch.keenspot.com'. Make sure you typed 'keenspot' and not 'keenspace' or this will not work. This will then open a popup dialog that will prompt you for a user name and password. Your user name is your comic site name. So for example, my comic is located at 'http://gbdstudios.comicgenesis.com'. So my user name would be 'gbdstudios'. Then in the next line, type the password you use to log in and modify all your settings and update your comic. When you've done this, hit OK and it should open up a window similar to Windows Explorer, where you'll see a few folders. Generally, you'll see 'public_html' and 'workspace'. If you see these, then you've logged in and you can easily flip through folders, or drag and drop stuff between a regular Windows Explorer window and here to upload files.
Advanced Tips:
» If you want to skip the login screen, you can use this format in the Adress bar: 'yourcomicname:password@butch.keenspot.com'. This will completely bypass the popup and log you directly into your account. Here's an example. If my password was something like '12345', I would type in 'gbdstuios:12345@butch.keenspot.com'.

» Currently, the server that's hosting a majority of the sites on Comic Genesis is called 'butch'. If your comic happens to be very old or if for some reason they install a new server since the time of this writing, you can ask an admin what server your comic is located on. Replace the 'butch' in 'yourcomicname@butch.keenspot.com' with whatever server name they give you.

» The 'images' folder is linked through both the 'workspace' and 'public_html' folders. You'll notice a little arrow icon at the bottom of the folder. What this means is that it is simply a shortcut to the same folder. So basicly speaking, both the 'images' folder in both 'workspace' and 'public_html' are both the same folder. There's just links to it in both of the main folders for easy access.

» You can upload multiple items, or even entire folders just like you would in a normal Windows Explorer window. Just highlight all the files you want to upload and drag them into the appropriate folder in your Internet Explorer window.
I hope helps anyone who's frustrated with FTP and needs help getting things uploaded to their site.
